Description and Recommendations
A clear, water resistant oil providing temporary protection against corrosion. Formulated using a natural paraffin base and additives to improve corrosion stability. Antix-F is particularly suitable for inhibiting corrosion in the machining stages of delicate parts. As it is a very light oil, it can be applied using immersion, a brush or a spray gun. It is also suitable for protecting parts and tools that are subject to long periods in storage.
Properties
As it is an oily liquid, it does not dry out even when subject to long periods in storage.As a result of its liquidity and low interfacial tension, it spreads across the whole surface of the part to be protected, ensuring that it is completely covered.Good corrosion inhibitor power thanks to its water repellent additives, which provide a good waterproof film.During corrosion tests in a humidity chamber kept at 50% and 100% relative humidity, the oil lasts 45 days without signs of a corrosive attack.The oily film deposited is lubricating and need not be removed when undertaking machine or assembly work.
